Well, I finally went to see The Dreamers last night. It was rather cheeky, and a bit twisted, but god, it was a gorgeous film. I think I must have been grinning for two hours straight. (Of course, Rian thinks it's a porno, but he hasn't even bothered to see the film yet, so what does he know?) The film is definitely worth seeing again. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you catch it while it's still playing in theatres. This one is best viewed on a very large screen.
I have to agree that it was gorgeous. Plus, I loved Theo and his revolting (but also, wierdly glorious and appealing) Frenchie perviness. That guy really knew how to ride a motorbike and make it look all gangly and picturesque. He was working his je ne sais quoi overtime.

The Apartment in the movie was almost as much of a star as the actors, I think.
It was kind of strange watching the sex scenes in a theater with an audience consisting of people mostly in their 60's. Makes you wonder how they see it.

I live in Westchester County, NY, which is about an hour and a half from Manhattan.
The theater that I saw "Dreamers" at was in a town called Greenburgh. Greenburgh has primarily an older Jewish population.
It was the closest theater that showed the film. Greenburgh is about a half hour drive from Yorktown, where i picked up my friends to see it.
Afterwards, we went to a nice Indian restaurant called Malabar. There was a mixed crowd of ages there...
